Okay.. this is just a story of our short trip to Bali, Indonesia last weekend. Why Bali? I want to see the sunrise and sunset by the beach and took beautiful photos. Why short trip? Well, Mr H could not take any long vacation as his projects coming to end by this October.  Why end March? We took the opportunity of the public holiday in Singapore. So much of a this and that eh..

Actually, I preplanned this trip since last year. I browsed Agoda.com for our stay in the villa at Nusa Dua. For the flights, we booked JetStar to Bali and our way home, we’ve got a good price with AirAsia.

While in the plane to Bali, I witnesses beautiful islands nearby. Upon reaching Ngurah Rai Airport – Denpasar, we booked a Blue Bird Cab to Kuta Centre for a quick shopping at a price of RP 70,000. We did not bring clothing.. just ourselves, wallet, passport, mobiles, iPad & camera.

Hello Bali!
Hello Bali!

Unlike Jakarta, traffic in Bali is quite smooth. The people never fails to smile and mostly very friendly. The buildings are built not more than three storey. They kept the Balinese design everywhere possible.

In Kuta, we were approached by this young guy by the name of J***y. He guided us to his shop (the first one) for some clothing when we realized he tried to cheat us. For a couple of shirts & pants he charged us RP 4,000,000. That is around SGD $500. This guy must be joking so we put it a stop and he then reduced the price. I just grab a bikini, dress and pants. Earlier he did offer to bring us around Bali at a price of RP 500,000 but Mr H was not happy after he tried to cheat us so we cancelled the service. After all, we just want to relax and get to know a bit of Bali because we would definitely make a come back next time for a long vacation.

We checked into Sekar Nusa Villa. We were welcome with flowers and pineapple juice as the refreshments. This villa is situated in the outskirts of Nusa Dua. They have three types of villas to offer; Nusa Suite Villa (two bedrooms with private pool) – this one is good for family with kids. The other two, the smaller units are Sekar Villa (one bedroom with pool) and Padma Villa (one bedroom with jacuzzi).

On ambience and décor, I give them total 5/5 stars. The villas have sensuous tropical settings, surrounded with greens plantations. It has the Balinese touch. And you smell the flower fragranced. Every villas are decorated with wood furniture. At night, it’s very quiet. You could enjoy the silence and peace, away from the city that is.

As for us, we chose Sekar Villa. The bedroom is very spacious with the relax corner and study area which face the pool. There is another separated room, the toilet. When entering the toilet, you will find a huge bath tub, shower room and dressing area with outdoor lights passing thru. Somehow, we enjoyed so much relaxing in the private pool. We ordered our dinner (room service) and spend our time watching some movies. Of course we took some shots of the villa.

The La Terrace Restaurant is at the lobby area. Breakfast, well, do not expect much about it. All I could say it is best to find food outside. The service I could only give 3.5 stars. While the wifi, though it’s free, it could make you go insane.. really.. From the restaurant, you could see the nice beach.

After breakfast, we took a walk around the villa for some photo shoots. We spotted the beautiful garden.

The villa is not near to the beach. As they said, Jauh Pak, lumayan sekali! (the beach is very far indeed, Sir!) So I did not have the chance to take any shots of the sunrise.
