On our second day, we decided to explore Jimbaran beach. The villa management arranged our trip to the beach by taxi at no cost. The taxi driver, Pak Pujiyanto a Javanese origin recommended us to one of the seafood along the beach – JBS Bumbu Bali Restaurant. Before he left, we made a booking with him again to fetch us after the sunset. He gave us his mobile number just in case we want to go back early.

When we pass thru the restaurant, our eyes were locked at the wide sea. It was such a nice atmosphere. The waiter brought us to a table outdoor. Facing the sea with waves dashing towards the beach and breathing the fresh air. From the beach, we could see Uluwatu on our left side and the runway of the Ngutah Rai Airport on the right side.

We were quite early for dinner but we just could not resist the smell of the grilled seafood. So we ordered our dinner. And for the seafood, we were told to choose the life fish from the fish tank and fresh lobster near the kitchen area. Price are charged by the weight. We wanted to wait and witness the sunset while having our dinner. Unfortunately, due to the slight rain, it was cloudy so we could only see the sunset shines for a while.

Not very far from the beach, there were fishermen’ boats. We took the chance to walk by the beach and took some shots around. There were many interesting happened around. People fishing by the beach. Kids playing with sands. Mother and child walking by the beach. Tourists took the chance of taking photos of the waves coming. There are also newly wed having their photos shoots.

Close to evening, most of the restaurants were filled with tourist and family. We returned to the restaurant that we had our seafood early for some drinks. When it’s getting darker, many started to settle down at their table. Facing the sea and waves, everybody enjoyed their dinner with some music and the lighted candles. It was like watching a flat screen but this is a real nature screen with the sound of waves. Feeling so calm and relax.

After the drinks, the waiter helped to call back our taxi driver who brought us to the restaurant. Pak Pujiyanto is such a nice humble man as he shared almost everything about Bali. He gave us some resourceful tips for our next visits. Since we have his mobile number, we would get him to recommend us for any tour the next time we return back to Bali.

At night, once again we enjoyed in our pool staring at the full moon in the sky eating our Jagung Bakar (grilled corn) we bought earlier from the push cart vendor at Jimbaran beach. Mr H got himself  the Jagung Bakar Pedas (hot grilled corn) & mine was Jagung Bakar Manis (sweet grilled corn). It was such a nice feeling to be in the arms of your love one.

We ended our night early as we had to be in the airport the next morning. Such a short trip but we are very much falling in love with Bali. We know we will make a come back next time. It will definitely be a longer stay. Once again, I need to preplan.. heh heh heh..
